Axemen Lacrosse Club
2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Dear Members,

We are pleased to announce that the 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Axemen Lacrosse Club has been scheduled for November 5th, 2024. The meeting will take place in person at Cardel Rec - Canadiens Room (Back of Rink 3).

Incentives for Attendance:
All members present at the AGM will be entered into a draw for the chance to win:

• Attend for your chance to win:

  • 2025 Registration for your player (2 DRAWS) 

  • Winter Camp Session 1 & Session 2 Registration for your player (2 DRAWS)

Positions Available for Election (2-Year Term Commitment)

The following positions are open for nomination and election at the 2024 AGM:

1. President

   • Current Incumbent: Sean Ross (has expressed intent to continue serving)
   • Eligibility Requirements: Nominees must have held membership with the Club for a minimum of two years and have served as a director for at least two years prior to nomination.

2. Vice President of Operations

   • Current Incumbent: Marie-Eve McDonaugh
   • Eligibility Requirements: Nominees must have held membership with the Club for a minimum of two years.

3. Secretary

   • Status: Vacant

4. Treasurer

   • Current Incumbent: Malcolm Strachan (has expressed intent to continue serving)

5. Director of Volunteers

   • Current Incumbent: Angela Young (has expressed intent to continue serving)

6. Junior Coordinator

   • Current Incumbent: Charlene Brennan (has expressed intent to continue serving and welcomes the opportunity to mentor a new coordinator)

Advisory and Operational Roles (1-Year Term Commitment)

Appointed by the current BOD

We are also seeking dedicated individuals to volunteer for the following operational roles. Please note these positions are for a one-year term,

• U7 Coordinator - - Vacant
• U9 Coordinator - - Vacant
• U11 Coordinator - Current Incumbent: Brie-Anne Risi (returning)
• U13 Coordinator - Current Incumbent: Tasha Leontowicz (returning)
• U15 Coordinator -  Current Incumbent: Tiffany Schurchardt (returning)
  
• U17 Coordinator - Current Incumbent: Tunde Oloasun (returning)

Positions up for Election AT THE 2025 AGM (2-Year Commitment):

• VP Programs - Current: Ty Pilson
• Governance - Current: Chris Jensen
• Director at Large - Current: Jason Taylor
• Division Coordinator - Current: Crystal Kleutsch
• Evaluation Director - Current: Don Innes

Voting Information:
Voting members, defined as members in good standing over the age of 18, will be entitled to one vote. A majority of the votes cast will determine all matters, except where a special resolution is required.

All candidates will have the opportunity to address the membership prior to voting.
