Axemen Lacrosse Club
2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Dear Members,

We are pleased to announce that the 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Axemen Lacrosse Club has been scheduled for November 5th, 2024. The meeting will take place in person at Cardel Rec - Canadiens Room (Back of Rink 3).

Incentives for Attendance:
All members present at the AGM will be entered into a draw for the chance to win:

• FREE registration for the 2025 season
• FREE registration for Session 1 and Session 2 of the Calgary Axemen Winter Camps

Election of the 2025 Board of Directors:
During the AGM, we will elect members to our 2025 Board of Directors. Below is the list of positions available for election, along with their terms and prerequisites:

Positions up for Election AT THE 2024 AGM (2-Year Commitment):

• President - Current: Sean Ross

• VP Operations - Current: Marie-Eve McDonaugh
  Eligibility: Nominees for both President and VP Operations must have been members of the Club for at least two years. The nominee for President must have served as a director for at least two years prior to nomination.

• Secretary - VACANT

• Treasurer - Current: Malcolm Strachan

• Director of Volunteers - Current: Angela Young

• Junior Coordinator - Current: Charlene Brennan

Advisory Roles:

We are seeking dedicated volunteers for various operational positions. These roles are for a 1-Year Term:

• Tournament Coordinator - VACANT
• Fundraising Coordinator - VACANT
• Apparel Coordinator - VACANT
• Equipment Coordinator - VACANT
• Goalie Development - Current: Chris Webber

• U9 Coordinator - Current: Brie-Anne Risi
• U11 Coordinator - Current: Tasha Leontowicz

• U15/U17 Coordinator - Current: Tunde Oloasun

Voting Information:
Voting members, defined as members in good standing over the age of 18, will be entitled to one vote. A majority of the votes cast will determine all matters, except where a special resolution is required.

All candidates will have the opportunity to address the membership prior to voting.
